Wedding Trend | Herb Wedding Details

One trend I’ve been loving recently is the incorporation of herbal elements into all aspects of weddings. From table centerpieces to cakes, place settings, boutonnieres and bouquets.  Herbs have a lovely fresh look to them  plus they smell amazing!  They can be rustic or modern and clean and are a great way to add a touch of something different.   The most common herbs I’ve seen used are lavender and rosemary however you are certainly not limited to those three. I’ve also seen dill, sage among others.

Below is probably the most common, rosemary tucked in with the menu as seen in this Australian wedding on OneFabDay, from Solas Photography.

For a more involved use of herbs you can use them as centerpieces on your table.  I’m loving these two looks. The first incorporates sage and lavender, seen on Style Me Pretty from Fox Rabbit florals.  And the second featured potted herbs for an Italian wedding, seen on Style Me Pretty, photographed by DocuVita.

Finally, this is a great DIY Boutonniere tutorial incorporated blueberries with lavender thyme, oregano and sage from ONCE WED.
