Lawn Games at Weddings

This is a blog post I’ve been waiting to post for several months now. I just LOVE lawn games at weddings! I had lawn games at my own wedding, thinking we were being unique, but after more research we realized there many couples with the same idea!

Lawn games are a great addition to any outdoor, summer wedding. They are a great way to get guests more involved, interacting and having fun, and as a bonus most games are suitable for all ages young and old.

The most common lawn games are: bags (aka corn hole), croquet and bocce ball.  Badminton, frisbee and ladder toss are also found at weddings.

Lawn games are also a unique way you include creative signage at your wedding. Below are a few of my favorite examples of how real couples have used lawn games in their weddings.

I just love these silhouettes painted on this bags set.  Playful, yet still classy:

And this game of bags also sports an important message: “Always have FUN together!” definitely words to live by.

I love all the details of this wedding from Green Wedding Shoes, including the rustic painted signs and croquet.
